She is the daughter of Johan Nicolai Christensen and Emma Nicoline Dahl.
In 1885, a beautiful girl by the name of Louisa Dahl from Alburg,Thisted, Denmark sailed to Zion in America.
Her father, Dr.John Christensen, one of the first doctors to use hypnosis in dental practices.' Dr. Christenson along with Louisa's grandparents Peterson and her one sister, JoHanna had already come to America to live with the saints. They lived at the hotel they owned which was located across from the present 3rd Ward.
Louisa had accepted the LDS religion and wished to live with them in America. So she lived with JoHanna and her husband, James Carter, in the hotel. She helped in the kitchen and dining room for there was plenty of work serving the boarders.
One day, a very special day-a tall dark handsome young man walked into her life. Charles Eli Williams came from Kansas looking for his dream girl. In the year of 1886, after sufficiently teaching her the English language the first word he taught her was "yes"- they married May 31, 1886 and one year later, they were blessed with a son. They eventually had 7 children:

Louisa died October 31, 1945 and is buried in the Provo City, UT cemetery.
